Miranda Cosgrove (Then)
Miranda Cosgrove was no stranger to the entertainment industry before starring in the title role of Carly Shay. Her first big role was in the film, “School of Rock” as Summer Hathaway. After that she made cameos in various television series such as “Zoey 101” and “Unfabulous” before landing the role of Megan on “Drake & Josh.” After the success of “Drake & Josh,” Dan Schneider was working on creating a new series, this time with Miranda as the leading character. Her popularity as Carly on “iCarly” helped her to launch a career in music. She recorded 4 songs for the “iCarly” soundtrack, released her debut EP “About You Now” in 2009 followed by a studio album “Sparks Fly” in 2010. The following year, she released her 2nd EP “High Maintenance.”
