Jerry Trainor (Then)
Jerry was born and raised in San Diego, California; he moved out to Los Angeles with the hopes of pursuing a career in the entertainment industry. He studied theater at University of California, Santa Barbara, and also studied improv with The Groundlings. His first role was on an MTV series called “Undressed” in which he played the character of Eric. After his debut role, he starred in films like “Donny Darko” and “Evolution”. He’s made cameos on shows like “ER”, “My Wife and Kids”, “Malcolm in the Middle”, “Angel”, and had a reoccuring role on “Crossing Jordan” as Brian the A.V. Guy. His biggest role would have been as Crazy Steve on “Drake & Josh”. It was here that he met Dan Schneider and Jerry was eventually cast as Spencer Shay, Carly’s quirky older brother/guardian, on “iCarly”.
